This is what happens when we find a stranger in the Alps, then they write a story, and we bring them on the show to read it. Longtime Nerdy Show fan Fenrirgochad has brought to us a fanfic of his own devising for us all to read. He inserted Stevo into a crossover fic between The Brave Little Toaster and *sigh* Sonic the Hedgehog. Yup. Things happen. Sexy almost happens a lot… and apparently death also happens a lot.

We’re BAAAAAAAAAACK!

Season 5 gets started off “right”. Which is to say, very, very wrong. We take on a story we can’t finish! Not because it is incomplete, but because it’s such an awful experience and we actually can’t bear continuing it. It’s horrible. Awful. Disgusting. All the bad words. To quote one listener verbatim: “I expected the sexism, but the racism was a surprise.” The nightmare in question is “The Most Men’s Rights Activist Fanfic Ever Made” written by notoriously material-banned author Eogrus under an alternate account.

We get through one lap of readers before calling it quits and moving on to more familiar, safe territory: Harry Potter fanfic (“The Play” by DemiraWithers)… Except this is an alternate world where Voldemort is basically Harry’s impromptu father/teacher/etc and then there’s wangs out. Finally, we wrap up with some futa in “A Healthy Student/Teacher Relationship” by Jlargent. It’ll make you wonder if the pills you’ve been taking your whole life are to prevent some form of new genitalia erupting from your nether-regions.

This is it. The season finale and the final installment of Niduranduran’s Pokémon fanfic,“Solaceon Daycare’s Excellent Adventures”. We’ve done it! We’ve finished the longest story we will ever attempt to read. Nothing else comes close to the epic-length nightmare we’ve subjected ourselves to. Never again. Never forget. This story is drek. It’s awful and deplorable and we hated it. Oh sure, there was some fun to be had along the way, but this one nearly tore us apart at times. We hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Friday Night Fanfiction Season Four is now complete! We’ll be taking about a month off and coming back sometime in late March after all the next stories have been picked, new guests have been scheduled, and the toxins purged from our bodies. Thank you to everyone who listened, hung out in the chat, or read with us over the last ridiculous sojourn We look forward to seeing you all again real soon!

After the sweet release of taking an episode off from Niduranduran’s Pokémon fanfic,“Solaceon Daycare’s Excellent Adventures”, we’re back in the stink. Our protagonist is beside himself too – no matter his wealth of harem occupants, he’s still not satisfied and resorts to porn for his pleasures… AND he complains about it! The nerve of some people. But hey – there’s some drama too: a character has a heart attack. Not surprisingly, the resulting emotions are forced and ends with cuddling with multiple Pokéladies and wanking it to a woman blowing snake.

We are close to the end. So very close. But not quite yet.

In this episode, we take a reprieve.

We take a long, hard look at ourselves and decide to shirk off our Pokémon shackles for an evening and read something that restores our sanity. JoeCam (of SML Podcast) and Tom Heisanevilgenius (of Weird Video Games and Peter Chimaera) join us for a wonderful LiveJournal-y romp through The Lord of the Rings with “The Very Secret Diaries” by Cassandra Claire.

Though unfinished, this was exactly what we needed. Shout outs to all our fellow pervy hobbit-fanciers.
